On November 9th, the GLO Network proudly hosted its inaugural event, Pole and Sip. This groundbreaking celebration of women's health, empowerment, and community brought together a diverse group of women over 40 who were ready to embrace their strength and step out of their comfort zones.
The event featured an afternoon of pole dancing, laughter, and connection, paired with meaningful conversations about body strength, menopause, and female resilience. Attendees sipped on refreshing beverages while enjoying an environment that celebrated individuality, community, and growth.
One attendee shared her heartfelt experience:
"What an amazing experience it was to see so many women come together and do something that was out of their comfort zone. It was so inspiring and encouraging, I felt so heard and seen, and I can’t wait to see what happens next."
Special thanks go to our major sponsors for making this event possible:
A heartfelt acknowledgment also goes to our incredible panel of experts who shared their stories and insights:
Keri Stephenson, Co-Founder of GLO Network, who shared her vision for building a supportive and empowering community for women over 40.
Jan Roesch, a 56-year-old powerlifter and strength trainer who went through early menopause, inspiring attendees with her journey of resilience and strength.
Ameeth Ruparelia, a physiotherapist specializing in hypermobility, who provided invaluable advice on managing physical health during and after menopause.
Loz Antonenko, a multidisciplinary lifestyle coach, who brought her expertise in holistic well-being and self-care.
The Pole and Sip event was more than just an introduction to pole dancing—it was a testament to the power of community and the strength that emerges when women come together to uplift and support one another. The energy, inspiration, and empowerment felt throughout the day have set the tone for what’s to come as the GLO Network continues to redefine what it means to thrive in this phase of life.
Here’s to many more moments of boldness, connection, and growth!
